Welcome to Bella and Max! We are a full service, family hair salon located just off downtown Bothell, WA across from the Yakima Fruit Market and few blocks away from the City of Bothell Park. We are on the southern (roughly) side of Bothell HWY, on the curve and next door to a local car dealership.
Bella and Max opened in 2006 on the boardwalk area of Country Village. Our original location had two stories and when the shop opened we knew that we would specialize in unique, hard to find children's items. We carried European clothing, rock and roll onesies and super fun gifts for both parents to be. The boutique was easy, there was a plan and a vision. But there was an upstairs space that we had to do something with. At the time my daughter was about five years old and we were driving a half hour away to get her hair cut at a children's hair salon. I thought.... Bothell could use a great kids hair salon and Bella and Max was born.
Over the years we've moved, three now, to bigger more suitable locations for us within Country Village.. and now to our own freestanding location. We have finally settled into a space that can suit our needs for years to come. We only made this move due to the upcoming 98 townhomes that will soon be constructed where the park used to be (so if you are looking for a townhome, they will be building a community of them soon).
We still have a room for our award winning children's salon, now we have two actually. One with a TV and one without, depending on your personal preference. There are five children's chairs consisting of a Pink Cadillac, Black Roadster with flames, red sports car, a Red Airplane and Thomas the Train. Our Blue Angels Fighter Jet has been retired and sits proudly displayed out front. We have a train table in the lobby while you wait. We still have toys, bubbles and the ever popular dum dums. We even have coloring books and toys to keep siblings occupied while their brothers or sisters get a hair cut. We style the hair and offer glitter for the girls and lollipops for all.
Because we started as a children's hair salon almost ten years ago, we made this move because our clients that started with us are getting older. We needed to create rooms just for them. We really believe that you build relationships with your stylist and as kids get older the children's salon can feel a little too "babyish" for a pre-teen. So we do still have an adult space and eventually we would like to build a real Man Cave outside in a smaller building.
It is common for a dad to come in with their son and now we have an environment still for the guys. We carry American Crew products and yes, we will show them how to properly wash and style their hair.
We offer color services, fantasy color services, deep conditioning, Brazillian Blowouts, manicures / polish changes and of course, hair cuts and styles. We have an up-do specialist and hope that when girls have dances or weddings, you will consider us for all your hair care needs. We continue with our education on a consistent basis and keep up with the latest styles and trends, making sure we are fully trained to execute these services for you.
